Financial Success - How To Make Money On Internet

A terriffic thread I just finished with on wealthy affiliate involved the “secrets” to affiliate marketing.  What did I learn?  Well the key to becoming a wealthy affiliate does NOT involve finding a product and then searching for matching keywords…. Nope in fact if you do that chances are you will waste a ton of money on the whole process then give up because of all the money you have wasted.  What does it involve?

Research, that is the bottom line, period.  How to do the research, go to the bookstore.  Online I suggest going to Amazon.com, google news, technorati, or icerocket just to name a few.  This will help you to find out what people are interested in (this is just the opposite of finding what is a hot product or not….). 

Write down at least 10 of those things, a niche.

Now find out if it is an active topic.  What would be it’s profitability?  Is there any interest building in this subject?  Do this by looking in Google’s trends tool.  This is really cool because you can compare subjects and see how they relate to each other.  What language people are looking for that particular subject in and where in the world those searches are coming from.  Also what is listed in google trends is any current events on that subject or press releases.  What you want to look for is an uprising trend.  In other words look to see if it is an active topic.  Usually an event will occur giving momentum to the subject.  People will talk about it and start searching for that topic to fill a need or fix a problem. 

FINALLY you just have to give them what they are looking for by effective advertising.

So find out if you have a trend for these subjects.  INSTEAD of looking for keywords, search for what your hungry crowds are looking for. 

Go to forums that are involved with your chosen subject.  Go to google and do this search ” ‘niche’ + forum” this will allow you to find any active forums and discover what the people want.  An active forum consists of alot of posts made within the last week or two NOT the past couple of months.  Once you have found an active forum read what those people are talking about.  Ask your self what are these people willing to spend money on, some will flat out tell you others will post a problem and some will post a question. 

This will get you comfortable with the psychology of why they want to buy things and what there “buttons” are.  Then you can write your ad copy and find your “key” words.  

A process, yes indeed this is a process and can take a while to do.  But will give you fruit of sales in the end and not a pricey advertising campaign.  I implemented these ideas this past week and made my first sale.  Definitly worth the subscription to Wealthy Affiliate!
