What would prompt you to get an autoresponder service?  The only answer that comes to my mind is to start building a list.  Do I know everything about building a list, no but I do know the series of questions you will probably ask your self.

The first is WHY have a “list”.  This is so you can repeat your business to people you already know or are starting a relationship with.  The opposite can be just as true if you tell them you want feedback from them.  This way you may craft products to meet there needs or find something to fix their problem.

Next question turns to, “What am I going to give them?”  This can be anything.  A script you wrote, maybe some software you just picked up with master resale rights to, or maybe a free e-book you wrote or already have as a freebie.  That will entice people to sign up for your….. well what are you going to offer them for your service?  You may write a short e-mail series on how to do something, supply some how to videos or maybe you just have an exciting top 10 things to tell your audience.

Following account creation at Aweber you have the choice of setting up a message series or a broadcast message to your list.  Personnally I would set up a series of messages (this would be your e-mail series, videos or your top 10 things).  Then keep the names for a later broadcast message to your list

Finally set up your web page.  This is probably where you wanted to start from since it is what most of us see when we go sign up for others mailing lists.  Aweber makes this extremely easy, just make a list name and what you want them to sign up for hit save.  The new script is ready for you to cut and paste into your site or html page.
